How to choose the right real estate agent

A great agent is a translator: they turn a market into a plan. Ask how many transactions they have closed in your target neighbourhood in the last twelve months.

Ask what they would advise you not to buy, and why. An agent willing to talk you out of something is an agent worth keeping.

Finally, agree on communication up front — how often, through which channel, and who you speak to when your agent is unavailable.
